About the Role:

As a Senior BI Developer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and reports that support the reporting needs of both internal and external Carenet clients. Your expertise will be crucial in driving technical activities that meet client expectations, collaborating across various departments, and continuously exploring new technologies, tools, and techniques.

 

Location/ Wok Setup: Hybrid, Philippines (2 to 3x a week in Makati office)
Work Hours: 4 PM - 1 AM PHT

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data & Reporting: Design and develop reports and dashboards for internal and external customers using Power BI.
  • Collaboration: Participate in requirement/implementation meetings to understand business needs and document requirements.
  • Data Modeling: Create data models, database tables, views, stored procedures, and queries.
  • Development: Build Dataflows and Semantic models using Microsoft Power BI tools and technologies.
  • Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, flows, and data quality issues related to data integrity, access, or performance.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, and ensure compliance with enterprise security policies.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Research, pilot, and suggest new technologies and techniques to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
    • Proven experience in developing complex reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI/Fabric tech stack.
    • In-depth experience with querying relational databases.
    • Familiarity with Azure data stack (Azure SQL, Azure Tables, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, etc.).
  • Technical Skills:

    • Mastery of Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (M), and row-level security.
    • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server (SSRS, some SSIS) and T-SQL.
    • Familiarity with Databricks and Python is a plus.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, and technical procedures, and present information effectively.
  • Analytical Skills:

    • Strong reasoning abilities with a talent for solving complex problems.
