Overview

We're adding IT Helpdesk Technicians ( Service Desk Specialist) in our growing IT team in Carenet Philippines!  If you possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Service Desk management, particularly with Microsoft and/or Mac OS, and have the ambition to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, then this role is an ideal match for you.

 

 

The Helpdesk Technician's role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.

Work schedule: Shifting

Work Set up: Hybrid ( with occasional visits to Makati once or twice a month )

Responsibilities

Here's how you can help us: 

  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for preventive measures
  • Field help requests from end users via telephone and e-mail courteously
  • Document end user information and nature of problems
  • Build rapport and extract problem details from customers
  • Prioritize and schedule problems; escalate when necessary
  • Record, track, and document the help desk request process
  • Apply diagnostic utilities and access online resources for troubleshooting
  • Identify and learn supported software and hardware
  • Perform hands-on fixes, including software installations and hardware upgrades
  • Install anti-virus software and conduct preventative maintenance
  • Test fixes to ensure problem resolution
  • Conduct post-resolution follow-ups
  • Develop help sheets and FAQs for end users
  • Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
  • Uphold compliance with enterprise security policy
  • Provide on-call support for 24x7 operations, available for any shift.

Qualifications

What you need to have: 

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 2 -3 years of equivalent work experience  
  • Background in Service Delivery and use of ticketing tools
  • Must be willing to work on a hybrid setup and report to Makati office when needed
  • Must be willing to work on shifting schedule
