Overview

The Compensation Specialist plays a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and management of compensation programs aimed at attracting and retaining top talent. The role involves analyzing compensation data, ensuring market competitiveness, and recommending salary adjustments, promotions, and bonus structures. The Compensation Specialist will also assist in evaluating job descriptions for proper job classifications and compensation levels, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards. Close collaboration with HR and finance teams is essential to ensure accurate reporting and alignment of compensation data with budgetary guidelines.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs to attract and retain top talent across the organization.
  2. Support the development and maintenance of compensation policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
  3. Analyze external market data and internal compensation trends to ensure compensation packages remain competitive within industry standards.
  4. Provide recommendations to the Lead, Compensation, and management regarding salary adjustments, promotions, and bonus payouts.
  5. Assist in evaluating job descriptions and job classifications, ensuring compensation levels align with company standards and external benchmarks.
  6. Ensure job classifications and compensation data are accurately reported and aligned with industry best practices.
  7. Support the annual performance review process, assisting managers with compensation-related decisions and recommendations.
  8. Collaborate with HR, finance, and other teams to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of compensation data and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  9. Stay informed on federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant.
  10. Assist in the accurate reporting of compensation data for internal and external audits.
