Overview

The Business Analyst plays a critical role in the implementation, optimization, and enhancement of Carenet Health’s financial and billing systems. This role requires strong analytical skills to assess complex business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions that align with business objectives and compliance needs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Business Analyst will be instrumental in ensuring seamless system integrations, driving efficiency, and supporting continuous transformation initiatives in a dynamic healthcare environment.

 

 

This is a hybrid position based at our Woodstone location in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Process Optimization & System Implementation

    • Lead requirement-gathering sessions with finance, billing, and business stakeholders to define and document system needs.
    • Analyze and document "As-Is" and "To-Be" business processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
    • Collaborate with business and technical teams to design, implement, and optimize ERP and billing systems for operational efficiency.
    • Support ERP and billing system integrations to ensure seamless data flow and accurate financial reporting.
  • System Analysis, Configuration, and Testing

    • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for ERP, Finance, and Billing systems.
    • Assist in system configuration and customization to meet business needs.
    • Conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality and business process alignment.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting

    • Analyze financial and billing data to identify trends and areas for system optimization.
    • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
    • Recommend business process enhancements and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

    • Serve as a key liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
    • Present system solutions and process improvements to leadership, driving decision-making and securing buy-in.
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users to ensure successful system adoption and usage.
  • Project & Change Management

    • Track project deliverables, timelines, and risks in collaboration with the project management team.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process automation solutions.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specializing in ERP, Finance, and Billing systems within a corporate or healthcare environment.
    • Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar financial and billing modules.
  • Technical & Functional Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of financial processes, including invoicing, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, and billing workflows.
    • Experience in ERP system configuration, customization, and integration to optimize financial and billing operations.
    • Experience working with Agile project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Soft Skills & Leadership Abilities:

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage complex business and technical challenges.
    • Adaptability to changing business needs and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
