Overview

We are looking for a seasoned leader experienced in deploying software applications. If you are a passionate Software Development Release Manager who thrives in delivering applications and a high-performing team of developers, this role is for you! 

 

The DevOps Release Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the deployment of software updates and new features across multiple environments. This role involves working closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless, timely releases while mitigating risks and upholding high-quality standards.

 

Eligibility: Must be Filipino Citizen, NCR - based or from nearby provinces

Work Set up: Hybrid ( 90 percent remote, must be amenable to visit Makati office)

Schedule: 9pm - 6am PHT as core business hours (24/7 on call when needed)

Responsibilities

Release Planning & Coordination

  • Manage and oversee the entire release process for software updates and new features, ensuring smooth and efficient deployments.
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to strategically plan, schedule, and execute software releases.
  • Ensure all release tasks are completed on time while maintaining high-quality standards.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify potential release risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure all software releases comply with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Continuously refine release management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide stakeholders with clear and timely updates on release plans, schedules, and overall progress.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on release progress, promptly addressing any issues or delays that arise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in release management, DevOps, or a related role, ideally 3-5 years of release management experience
  • Strong understanding of software development and deployment processes.
  • Experience with release management tools and practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
