Overview

 

Carenet Health is seeking a Strategic Account Manager with deep healthcare expertise and a passion for building strong client relationships. This role is ideal for a strategic, consultative leader who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. You’ll bring over 10 years of experience working with health plans, health systems, or healthcare service organizations and a proven track record in client retention, growth, and satisfaction.

As a key partner to our clients, you’ll blend financial and commercial insight with relational intelligence to drive meaningful outcomes. Your ability to influence at the executive level, manage high-stakes partnerships, and lead business development initiatives will be essential to success.

Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities

    Client Relationships & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build and sustain multilevel networks, including executive (C-suite) relationships within the healthcare ecosystem.
    • Serve as a strategic liaison, ensuring client alignment, satisfaction, and engagement.
    • Lead contract negotiations and arbitration processes with finesse and diplomacy.
    • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence, empathy, and assertiveness in managing client relationships.
    • Apply conflict resolution strategies to navigate challenging discussions while maintaining productive partnerships.
    • Inspire and influence cross-functional teams, even without direct authority.
    • Maintain a strong executive presence representing Carenet Health in high-visibility interactions.

    Commercial & Business Development

    • Use financial acumen to analyze market trends and drive revenue growth.
    • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and promote service expansion.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders in joint business planning to align strategies and optimize healthcare delivery.
    • Design and execute customer retention and growth strategies.
    • Leverage knowledge of healthcare industry trends, client needs, and Carenet’s solutions to craft tailored offerings.

    Strategic Leadership & Business Intelligence

    • Apply visionary thinking to help shape long-term success for both Carenet and our clients.
    • Bring creative and systems-based problem-solving approaches to healthcare challenges.
    • Utilize business intelligence tools to inform strategic decisions and gain competitive advantage.
    • Lead clients through change management initiatives with agility and foresight.
    • Evaluate risks, identify opportunities, and advise on business strategies using critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications & Skills

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare account management, business development, or related roles.
    • Extensive experience working with health plans, health systems, or healthcare services companies.
    • Proven success in managing, retaining, and growing large-scale client relationships.
    • Strong financial and commercial acumen with demonstrated success in driving growth.
    • Ability to influence at the executive level and lead without direct authority.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative skills.
    • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including operations, regulations, and emerging trends.
    • High level of emotional intelligence, integrity, and leadership presence.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
    • Experience managing complex healthcare partnerships or BPO service models.
    • Expertise in areas such as telehealth, care management, healthcare engagement, or staffing.
    • Strong background in change management and leading cross-functional initiatives.
    • A personal leadership brand that aligns with Carenet’s mission of delivering better healthcare experiences.
