Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to join our team. This role plays a critical part in translating business needs into functional solutions by gathering and analyzing requirements, supporting solution design, facilitating testing, and ensuring smooth collaboration across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is both analytical and communicative, with strong experience in Agile environments and technical projects.

 

Work Set up: Onsite 

Location: Port of Spain 

Work Schedule: 9am - 6pm Trinidad Time ( 8am - 5pm CST)

Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Documentation:

  • Elicit, analyze, and translate business requirements into user stories with supporting documentation (e.g., acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes).

  • Document current ("As-Is") and future ("To-Be") processes and perform detailed gap analysis.

  • Analyze data, use cases, and systems to identify integration points and areas of concern.

  • Maintain clarity and alignment of requirements throughout the design, development, and deployment phases.

Solution Design & Feasibility:

  • Collaborate with Solution Managers and technical teams to convert business needs into realistic, deliverable solutions.

  • Ensure a balanced approach between business requirements and technical feasibility/sustainability.

Testing & Validation:

  • Participate in Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Functional Testing as needed.

Process Improvement:

  • Partner with development teams to collect and analyze metrics.

  • Proactively identify and implement improvements in team processes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Facilitate meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and internal teams.

  • Provide timely status updates and escalate issues or risks to the Solution Manager.

  • Represent the Solution Development team as a subject matter expert.

Project Coordination:

  • Understand and manage dependencies and priorities across multiple initiatives.

  • Advise on prioritization to ensure business value is maximized.

  • Coordinate efforts across multiple workstreams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology (IT).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
  • Experience in managing complex technical projects.
  • Strongly Preferred experience with 24/7 call center technologies, reporting, remote workforce environments, and database structures.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Broad knowledge of solution development processes, IT tools, techniques, and production/infrastructure operations.
  • Strong understanding of custom-developed and packaged-based applications.
  • Familiarity with various technology platforms and tools including:
    • Crystal Reports
    • Microsoft Server systems (e.g., Server 2012, IIS, SharePoint)
    • .NET technologies
    • TCP/IP, VPNs, and WAN architectures
    • ADO

Methodologies:

  • Practical experience working within Agile frameworks, including:
    • Daily Scrum stand-up meetings
    • Backlog grooming
    • Sprint planning and Retrospectives

Skills:

Analytical & Project Management:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
  • High attention to detail.

Communication:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in creating business documents, reports, and procedure manuals.
  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with various stakeholders including managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Capable of leading meetings, soliciting feedback, capturing notes, and delivering product or system demonstrations using various software tools.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, and Powerpoint(strong skills)
