Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Oversee all federal and multi-state income tax compliance, including filings, extensions, and estimated payments for a dynamic S-Corp environment.

  • Manage indirect taxes such as sales and use, property, and gross receipts tax; ensure accuracy and identify process improvements.

  • Lead tax planning initiatives that optimize our tax position while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and international regulations.

  • Direct preparation and review of ASC 740 tax provisions, including deferred tax calculations, tax disclosures, and reporting.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for external tax advisors, auditors, and consultants—managing audits and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.

  • Support M&A activity by driving tax due diligence, integration, and structuring strategies.

  • Maintain and enhance tax compliance systems and tools to align with broader financial operations.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Operations to assess and communicate tax implications for strategic decisions.

  • Provide tax-related reporting and insights to senior leadership, enabling data-driven decisions.

  • Monitor federal, state, and international tax legislation, ensuring organizational readiness for changes.

  • Manage third-party tax vendors, both domestic and international, ensuring high-quality service and compliance.

  • Mentor and develop finance team members in tax-related knowledge and processes.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax department.

  • Strong experience with S-Corps, multi-state taxation, and international tax issues.

  • Active CPA license strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with indirect taxes and managing third-party payroll/tax vendors.

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with tax software and financial systems.

  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet tight deadlines in a growth-focused organization.
