Overview

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will develop a deep understanding of the business and assigned functional groups across multiple countries—including the U.S., Canada, and the Philippines—with a primary focus on the Caribbean region. This role serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders, driving talent strategies that align with organizational goals. The HRBP will lead initiatives in employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning, while partnering cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Finance, and other business units to deliver integrated people solutions.

Responsibilities

How will Success in this Role be Measured?

1. Strategic Alignment: HR initiatives are clearly aligned with business goals and contribute to measurable improvements in organizational performance.

2. Stakeholder Engagement: High levels of satisfaction and trust from business leaders and cross-functional partners regarding HRBP support and collaboration.

3. Employee Relations Outcomes: Timely resolution of employee relations issues with minimal escalation and strong documentation and compliance.

4. Talent & Retention Metrics: Improvements in employee engagement, performance, and retention within supported business units.

5. Operational Execution: Timely and accurate delivery of core HR processes (e.g., performance reviews, workforce planning, disciplinary actions).

6. Data-Driven Insights: Effective use of HR metrics and analytics to inform decisions and track progress against strategic goals.

 

Sample Activities to Deliver the Goals

 

1. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, contributing to the development and execution of business-aligned people strategies.

2. Build strong relationships with leaders across business groups to understand talent trends, business needs, and strategic direction.

3. Lead and support initiatives that drive talent development, performance management, compensation strategy, and workforce planning.

4. Provide strategic and operational HR consultation on all people-related matters, partnering with managers to address organizational challenges.

5. Guide managers through performance management processes, offering support in coaching, career development, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.

6. Conduct research into operational and employee issues, recommending improvements to policies, processes, and practices.

7. Collaborate with other HR Business Partners to ensure alignment and consistency across a matrixed organization.

8. Partner with Talent Acquisition to proactively address staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.

9. Stay current on employment laws and regulations across relevant geographies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

2. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in a Global HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, preferably supporting multi-country operations.

3. Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance across diverse jurisdictions.

4. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing competing priorities with agility and resilience.

5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organization.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to leverage data to inform decisions and drive outcomes.

7. Experience with HRIS platforms and comfort with HR technology and reporting tools.

8. Demonstrated cultural competence and experience working with diverse teams across geographies.
