At Carenet Health, our mission is to drive better healthcare experiences for every person we serve. The Project Manager plays a critical role in that mission by managing enterprise projects from initial scope definition through successful implementation.

The Project Manager enables Carenet to successfully deliver strategic technology and enterprise initiatives through disciplined, independent project leadership. This role ensures complex work is structured, executed, and communicated effectively across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, from intake to closure, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and business objectives.
  • Translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into structured project plans, milestones, and decision frameworks.
  • Develop and continuously refine project plans across all phases, including initiation, discovery, planning, execution, deployment, and closure.
  • Proactively manage scope changes by assessing impact, securing approvals, and communicating updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and issues early, and drive resolution with appropriate stakeholders before escalation is necessary.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings that result in clear decisions, defined ownership, and actionable next steps.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level status updates focused on outcomes, risks, and key decisions required.
  • Adapt communication style to effectively engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Consolidate and analyze information from multiple tools and sources (e.g., Smartsheet, ADO, BRDs, RAID logs) to maintain an accurate and comprehensive view of project status.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance documentation, streamline information synthesis, and improve communication efficiency.
  • Escalate risks and issues appropriately, providing options, trade-offs, and recommended actions.
  • Lead retrospectives and lessons learned sessions to identify and implement continuous improvements in delivery practices.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of EPMO processes, templates, and governance frameworks based on project insights.
  • Partner with senior project leaders and stakeholders to strengthen institutional knowledge and improve overall delivery effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
  • 4–8 years of project management experience, preferably in technology or enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated success owning projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
  • Experience partnering with Directors, VPs, or executive stakeholders preferred
  • Experience with project and collaboration tools such as ServiceNow®, Smartsheet®, or equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook)
  • Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to support planning, documentation, or reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate delivery details into business impact
  • High learning agility and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-context environment
  • Strong ownership mindset
  • Confident decision-maker who drives follow-ups and escalates appropriately when outcomes are at risk
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred but not required
