The BI Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines and reports supporting internal and external Carenet clients’ reporting requirements. Additionally, any technical activities associated with meeting client expectations, coordinating, and communicating across disciplines and departments with a focus on integrating quality improvement and operations.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

1. Design and build sleek, interactive reports and dashboards that impress both internal teams and external customers. (Power BI is your canvas!)

2. Craft pixel-perfect, paginated reports in Power BI Report Builder that deliver exactly what’s needed—no fluff, all facts.

3. Participate in requirement/implementation meetings to understand the business needs and document requirements. 

4. Build and optimize data models, tables, views, stored procedures, and queries

5. Move data seamlessly across systems using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and other cool tools. Think of it as a high-speed highway for your data!

6. Monitor, debug, and fix data pipelines and data flows before they cause chaos. (No broken pipelines on your watch!)

7. Hunt down data quality issues like missing values, weird anomalies, or sluggish queries—and fix them before they become problems.

8. Protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, ensuring everything stays secure and compliant with company policies.

9. Follow enterprise security rules and make sure your data playground is safe and sound.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 3–5 years of BI/Data Engineering experience.
  • Business Intelligence: Strong experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI (primary), SSRS, and other BI tools.
  • Data Integration: Proven experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or similar tools.
  • Microsoft Data Platform: Hands-on expertise with SQL Server, T-SQL, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure Active Directory, and PBRS.
  • Data Connectivity & Performance: Experience integrating multiple data sources (SQL Server, APIs, flat files, Azure services) and optimizing queries, data models, and report performance.
  • Data Governance: Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data governance best practices.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Python or PowerShell is an advantage.
  • Communication: Strong analytical, documentation, report writing, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Preferred Certifications: Power BI Data Analyst Associate and/or Azure Fundamentals or Azure Data Engineer Associate certifications.
